Warranty Overview

Astherion stands behind the quality of our products. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Beta Program Warranty

Beta Hardware Warranty (2026)

Beta program products come with a limited 6-month warranty from delivery date.

Note: Beta participants acknowledge that beta hardware may have issues that don't constitute warranty-eligible failures. See our Beta Program Terms for details.

Production Product Warranty (2027+)

2-Year Limited Warranty

Production products (launching Q2 2027+) include a 2-year limited warranty from date of purchase.

Coverage Details

Garments (Base, Mid, Shell Layers)

• Fabric defects and tears under normal use
• Seam failures
• Sensor integration failures
• Waterproofing failures (shell layer)
• Insulation defects (mid layer)

Processing Unit (DPU)

• Hardware failures
• Power/charging issues
• Bluetooth connectivity failures
• Button malfunctions
• Battery failure (below 60% of rated capacity within 2 years)

Sensors

• Complete sensor array failure
• Individual sensor failures (covered within first year)
• Accuracy degradation beyond specified tolerances

Warranty Claim Process

1. Contact Support: Email warranty@astherion.com with:
   • Order number or proof of purchase
   • Product serial number
   • Detailed description of the issue
   • Photos or videos of the defect (if applicable)
2. Diagnostic Support: Our team will help troubleshoot the issue remotely
3. Warranty Approval: If issue is covered, we'll send a prepaid return label
4. Replacement or Repair: We'll repair or replace the defective component
5. Return Shipping: We cover all shipping costs for warranty claims

Response Time: Warranty claims are reviewed within 24 hours. Replacement units ship within 3-5 business days of approval.

Extended Warranty

Production customers can purchase Astherion Care+ for extended protection:

Extended warranty must be purchased within 30 days of original product delivery.

Exclusions and Limitations

Not Covered by Warranty

• Normal wear and tear (pilling, fading, minor abrasions)
• Damage from improper care (wrong washing method, excessive heat)
• Damage from misuse, abuse, or accidents
• Modifications or repairs by unauthorized parties
• Damage from extreme conditions beyond product specifications
• Lost or stolen products
• Software issues (covered by updates, not warranty)

Warranty Limitations

This warranty is your exclusive remedy. Astherion's liability is limited to repair or replacement of defective products. We are not liable for consequential or incidental damages.

Some states do not allow limitations on warranties, so the above limitations may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by jurisdiction.

Battery Warranty

The DPU battery is covered under the following terms:

• Beta Products: 6 months, failure below 50% of rated capacity
• Production Products: 2 years, failure below 60% of rated capacity
• Normal degradation: Batteries naturally degrade over time. Capacity above warranty threshold is considered normal
